Hockey Fights Cancer is a National Hockey League and National Hockey League Players' Association initiative dedicated to one of hockey's most important fights. The Carolina Hurricanes are proud to participate and assist in raising awareness and showcase the work that our partners are doing to fight cancer.

Each year, the Hurricanes host an awareness night highlighting local cancer organizations, patients, survivors and their family members. Participation spans the entire organization, including players, coaches, broadcasters and executive management, and the Carolina Hurricanes Foundation hosts a special auction. The Hurricanes have donated over $60,000 to cancer organizations through the Hockey Fights Cancer initiative.

The Hurricanes are committed to growing diversity and promoting inclusion within the game of hockey and the organization. From creating opportunities for Black professionals to learn more about working in the professional sports industry to supporting non-profits that give directly back to the community, we are committed to making a difference.

The NHL is dedicated Hockey is for Everyone™ initiative, using the game of hockey and NHL's global influence to drive positive social change and foster more inclusive communities. Together, the NHL supports any teammate, coach or fan who brings heart, energy, and passion to the rink.
